BROADWAY REHEARSAL WORKSHOP
Recreate a true Broadway rehearsal! Participants learn the music, choreography and staging directly from a Broadway cast member and musical director from the show they’ll be seeing or a show of their choice. Recommended Show Pairings: Aladdin, Fiddler on the Roof, Finding Neverland, Hamilton, The Lion King, Matilda, School of Rock, Something Rotten! and Wicked.
BROADWAY CHORAL WORKSHOP
Learn vocal technique, song interpretation and musical theatre acting while working with a musical director and Broadway performer followed by a Q&A. Sheet music provided. Recommended Show Pairings: Aladdin, Les Miserables, Jersey Boys, The Lion King, Phantom of the Opera and Wicked.
Learn Broadway choreography from a Broadway dancer/choreographer. A Broadway performer leads the group in a full warm-up before teaching the students dance combinations of a musical number. The session ends with a brief performance of what they’ve just learned along with an opportunity for a Q&A with the Broadway guest. Recommended Show Pairings: Aladdin, An American in Paris, Finding Neverland, Hamilton, Matilda, Something Rotten and Wicked.
STAGE COMBAT WORKSHOP
Professional stage stuntmen and fight coordinators take students on a choreographic journey of stage combat with an emphasis on safety and collaboration.
A fast-paced, on-your-feet workshop with a professional actor/teacher, participants actively participate during this fast-paced session engaging in improvisational exercises designed to heighten focus, quick thinking and sensitivity to others.
INTRO TO BROADWAY WORKSHOP
An introduction into Broadway, the students learn basics about theatre while working with a professional actor on creative skills through interactive exercises.
MEET THE ARTIST WORKSHOP
Group is given the opportunity to talk one-on-one with 1-2 Broadway professionals about their journey to Broadway. An interactive question and answer session provides the chance to explore the vast opportunities, pitfalls and thrills of the profession.

Build students’ confidence through theatre games and improvisation while learning strategies to deal with the phenomena of bullying.
MAKE-UP WORKSHOP New for 2016! *Not show specific
Working with a Broadway make-up artist, this interactive session offers students the experience of being made-up to “go on” for a Broadway musical. Various make-up techniques and their application are taught while learning the tricks of the trade that go into creating Broadway's most famous looks.
QUICK-CHANGE WORKSHOP New for 2016! *Not show specific
Got a minute? That’s what a dresser often has when dressing an actor between scenes. A professional Broadway dresser demonstrates the high-speed backstage maneuverings during an enactment of the “quick change” while student volunteers jump into the shoes of a Broadway actor. Top it off with a visiting Broadway performer!

MARC TUMMINELLI (Director, Founder, Owner of Broadway Workshop) — Marc has worked with young actors all over the United States teaching acting workshops with Explore America, Travel Adventures, Arts for All, Hands on Broadway, Camp Broadway, Dodger Theatrical's Broadway production of 42nd Street and as Drama Director at The South Shore Dance Theatre. Marc is currently on the directing staff at The Random Farms Kids Theater in Westchester County, NY and serves as Program Director for Playhouse Junior at Saint Michael's Playhouse in Northern Vermont.
Marc's students have appeared on Broadway in Shrek: The Musical, Mary Poppins, The Color Purple, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, Les Miserables, Sunday in the Park with George, West Side Story, Ragtime, Bye Bye Birdie and Finian's Rainbow. On TV in The Backyardigans, Blues Clues, Saturday Night Live, The Naked Brothers Band, All My Children, One Life To Live, 30 Rock, Ugly Betty, Mercy, Law and Order and many more.
As an actor, Marc has appeared as "Eugene" in Brighton Beach Memoirs, Biloxi Blues and Broadway Bound at theatres all over the US. Other regional and New York credits include: "Yonkers" in Gypsy staring Patti LuPone and directed by Lonny Price, …Spelling Bee, Dames at Sea, Lost In Yonkers, Into The Woods, Torch Song Trilogy, Oklahoma!, Oliver!, Shenandoah, The Dresser, Big River, Rags, Crazy For You, Pirates of Penzance and the hit Off Broadway productions of The Snow Queen and Bring Back Birdie, as well as the all-star concerts of Children Of Eden, The Secret Garden and Pippin, the latter starring Rosie O'Donnell and Ben Vereen. Film/TV credits include: The Sopranos and A Beautiful Mind directed by Ron Howard.
Marc's directing credits include: I Love My Wife, Once On This Island, A Year with Frog and Toad, Bat Boy, Cabaret, Rent, High School Musical, The Wiz, Oliver!, Annie, Into The Woods, Life of the Party, the educational touring production of The New Kid. Marc also served as "Munchkin Director" for the MSG production of The Wizard of Oz. Marc is a member of Actors Equity Association and Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.
